Panorama Media Corp is looking for a senior sales executive to manage the client base on market leading HYPE Magazine. The right person will love hip hop and the surrounding lifestyle and have a background to suit this portfolio.

Job description
• As the senior person on the team you will have the responsibility and accountability for advertising sales performance and revenue generation
• Overall advertisement sales, sponsorships and other revenue opportunities fulfilled according to set targets and sales policy
• Establishes and keeps in close personal contact with senior executives in industries served by titles, especially key clients and agencies.
• Ensures in association with the editors that the overall editorial policy of the title is fully understood and that the clients and agencies are fully acquainted with the latest sales information
• Assures that for each title/project the correct market segments are targeted
• Planning and implementation of ad sales policies
• Ensures that advertisements in magazines and online are positioned according to clients requirements and to the satisfaction of the editorial department
• Keep up-to-date on developments within your industry, target market and audience
Skills required
• Grade 12, tertiary sales qualification and min two to five years sales experience
• In-depth knowledge of the media industry, with specific emphasis on magazine advertising
• High level of morale, communication and cooperative spirit among sales team, company and clients
• Well developed/proven advertising client contact base
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
Skills advantageous
• Superb understanding of sponsorship raising
• Be able to sell across various platforms when needed
• Have an understanding and love for hip hop and lifestyle events
• Technology savvy

• Personal drive, professionalism and integrity
• Ability to identify ad spend and tendencies
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Well developed analytical and strategic skills
• Effective communication skills in English – verbal and written
• Strong presentation skills
